Orbituary
In the loving memory of SonyEricsson W700i (15 Sept 2006 - 17 March 2007)
It is supported by owner, Mr Tan Litong Jasper, age 22.
Nothing seems to be going right for me this month. I screwed up my mock, my health is deteriorating fast and now my handphone is gone. Well, this was what happened. Mr W700i was walking beside a swimming pool. Just then, he caught sight of a pretty lass called, MotoRazr V3XX . Trying to be a gentleman, Mr W700i decided to walk over and say "hi" to the lass. However, he failed to caught sight of the girl's boyfriend, Nokia N80. Thus, as he was about to say, "Hello Moto", an angry N80 kicked Mr W700i into the swimming pool. Unable to swim, W700i struggled hard. Within minutes, W700i's body was floating motionless on the water.
Alright, enough of bullshit. Before I explain my story, updates first. I havent been studying properly after the mock. Been busy slacking and watching my dvds. Managed to catch "The Last King of Scotland", "The Black Dahlia" and "The Gridiron Gang". Well, I felt "The Black Dahlia" was alright only. Not really impressive. However, "The Last King Of Scotland" was really good. No wonder Forest Whitaker won the Best Actor for the Oscars this year. As for the Gridiron Gang, it was relatively ok. Well,it's your usual inspiration movie. Somehow or rather, I feel that the movie is trying to be a little like Adam Sandler's shows. Either family or inspiring theme. Anyway, what interest me is the credit roll. it showed a few clips of the actual coach. From the look of it, he's a really motivated coach.
Besides, watching shows, I tried to catch up with a few of my friends. Yes. I finally met up with Ms Tiffany Ng. We had dinner at this place called "The Grapevine" at Upper Serangoon. Well, the serving is nothing to be proud of and the food is relatively alright only. As for Tiffany, She refused to let me take a picture of her. Dont understand why man, she used to be a cam whore. Eh girl. What happened to the Queen of Cam Whores.
Tiff's meal, Baked chicken thigh stuffed with Shitake mushrooms, accompanied by mashpotatoes.
My meal, Grilled Cod with lemon and herbs, accompanied with mashpotatoes.
Well. Back to the phone. It was like this. After attending an outing at NUS Sheare's Hall with the children from CSL, I went for a BBQ party with a seperate bunch of kids and a few friends. Upon arriving, I went up to find my friend to ask him where he parked his car. Before I could do anything, I was thrown into the pool by a group of friends. Along with my phone, my car keys and my digital camera, I was thrown into the pool. The result was pretty bad. My car key remote 'died'. My phone 'drowned'. Luckily my digital camera didnt die. I was really lucky to make the decision to buy a waterproof camera. If you want a camera which can offer quality and withstand hard knock, trust Olympus. Tried and tested. Anyway, for the next 1 hour, I was busy trying perform "CPR" on my phone and my car key remote. Without the remote, I cant open the door of the car without setting off the security alarm. Anyway, to cut it short, for the next 1 hour after I was dunked into the pool, I was like a crazy soaking wet clown, trying damn hard to open my car, drying my phone, car keys and camera. Although i had a fantastic time. It'll be better if not for the phone and car keys part. To everyone out there. Before you dunk a person into a pool or the sea. Be sure to empty out the person's pocket. Really.. If you dont, you'll really piss the person off in the end
A group photo on that unforgettable saturday.
As for the phone, i sent it for repair to SonyEricsson using the warranty. Do you know that for handphones, if your phone come in contact with water and if you use the warranty, your warranty will be void after that. That means, your warranty can only be used once if your phone malfunction due to exposure to liquid. Anyway, I officially received the death notice today from the care centre. The person said that my phone was beyond repair. He suggested that I should get a new phone. It's not cost efficient for me to repair it. Can you imagine, that phone is not even 1 year old!!!! Oh ya, I was wondering, cause I received a few suggestion by my friend. He said that by right if you are under warranty, if you phone spoils within the warranty period, and and if the company cannot repair, they'll replace you with a new phone. Is it true? Im not sure. Any of you have an answer to that? As for now, I can only mourn the lost of my phone.....
