" Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation. "
- George Washington (1732 - 1799)

Well, I shouldnt be typing this in. Sometimes, you hope for something to appear but it didnt. I bet most of you had this kind of feeling before. You expected something but nothing materialised. Well, i received a message from her the other day. She asked whether she can drop by at my place to pass me something. Haha, i was happy, but the sad part is, I read the message like 2 hours later. So assuming that she had fallen asleep, I sent her a message to apologise. She did replied like another 2 hours later, when i was already asleep by then. However, that was the last of what I've heard from her. I mean, things shouldnt end up this way. Even if im trying to keep my distance and all, we are still friends. You can occasionally just drop a message to ask me how are you or whatsoever. In the past, it'll be like 2 ways of communication. Now, I appear to be the only one trying to be nice about the whole thing, greeting her once in a while. Like Ive said before, even if we dont end up as couple, we can always be good friends. You do not need to resort to this as in treating me like a stranger now. It's really disappointing. Maybe i still havent really let go of you yet or whatsoever. Well, I just feel it's a pity. Look at Tiffany. Although, I used to like her, we are still very good friends. We can like occasionally drop each other a message or call each other up to bitch with one another. Or well, call to scold that person or tell one another how Rain or Tom Cruise is like. You dont have to resort to this. Haha, even the tone of the message and way we used to talk to each other has changed. It has become so formal. Alright. Enough of this nonsense. If im not appreciated, then so be it. Other people will appreciate me. As usual, I'll stick to my principle. I'll not kill or cry myself over a girl. Well.. dont forget.. Im Tom Cruise of Asia. Now..Back to studies..

Anyway, I bumped into a few recruits while I was in the bus no.88. I guessed they just had been released from P.Tekong. It kind of make me realised that the past 2 and a half years, really pass by really fast. Well.. it wouldnt be long before i start to realise that Im already nearing the end of my SIM years too. With that, here's a picture from my NS years..

"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love. "
- Jane Austen (1775 - 1817), Northanger Abbey

Testing.. ok.. trying out the new blog format. Well.. i still prefer the old blogger format. I guess I was one of those stubborn users who refused to move until blogger decided to "forcefully" shift me out to the new blogger format.

Now let me break the news. It's all over between me and her. Anyway, in the first place, there was nothing to start with. We were not officially a couple or something. We're just friends. However, sometimes, love do the most irrational thing and when u try so hard to push it, it always seem to end up at the wrong side of the place. Well, we both agree that there's chemistry between us. Well.. no one is to be blame. So before anyone goes round accusing the other party of wrong doing, let me say it's actually on my part to let go of this feeling. It wasnt easy at first. Even up till now when im typing this, the feeling still lingers on. However,I must persevere to cut it off. The relationship is complicated in the first place round. So in the future, if u guys ever meet a successful "December-May" relationship aka Craddle snatcher, please do envy them. Im really sure they've been through alot to acheive that. Well you see, the main reason which let me to let go this relationship is the social pressure. Really.. in the past, I always thought i could handle. Most people or bystander would say when you are truly in love, you'll not let other factors affect you. However, let's be realistic. Somehow or somewhat, this form of pressure will somehow creep up and affect your perception and your confidence. People who really knows me never doubt my confidence. I always thought i can handle it. It's only when you been through it that realy test what you are made of. i guess this time round, I was definitely not fully mentally prepared. And no.. Im not infatuated. If I am, I would have let go a long time ago. If I am, I wouldnt plan so far ahead. Anyway, like what I've discussed with her, I think I'll take this opportunity to go on a "emotion holiday". But , I never shut the door totally. If ever one day I still find that i do like her, well, I guess i'll be much more mentally prepared this time round. Life really doesnt revolves round love and all that. There are far much more important things in life than that. So, let me drown in my sorrows for a few days. haha..and dont worry girls, it's a blessing in disguise to for you all, as now there's one more VERY eligible guy around. hahaha.. ok..kidding.. So for now. no more love topics.. it's getting me irritated from the start..

" A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort."
- Heron Albright (1876 - 1944)

So after surviving on 3 hrs of sleep and having to experience my first mock exam in SIM, here I am, updating you all that Im still alive and well. Ok. except for the part where im now down with a fever. So, once again, I've to trouble Khai to help me take down the notes and questions. Thanks alot girl. I really appreciate it. Don't worry, I'll return you the favour by introducing some old mature man to you.. If I ever get the chance to know them. :)

Tomorrow will be V day. Well, I'll keep it as a suprise for her. Hopefully it'll pull off well. Don't worry, nothing fanciful or costly. So to all couples out there, before you guys go out and be lovey dovey. Please, at least know how V day came about.
I took it from a friend's blog.

" Valentine's Day originated from the ancient Roman fertility festival of Lupercalia, which was celebrated on 15th Feb. During this festival, young men would draw the names of women from a box, & each pair of man & woman would remain a couple until the next year's celebration. Often they would fall in love & get married. In the 3rd century AD, Rome began to face a series of battles & civil uprising. When many of the men refused to join the army, Emperor Claudius II thought that it was coz they did not want to leave their loved ones behind and thus ordered for the cancellation of all marriages & engagements. 2 priests, Valentine & Marius, disobeyed the decree & continued to perform marriage ceremonies secretly. Valentine was caught on 14th Feb & dragged to jail, where he was later beaten to death & beheaded. Before his execution, Valentine himself fell in love with the jailer's daughter. In his final note to her, he signed off as "From your Valentine." "

Anyway, I always do feel that V day is overrated. Things are expensive. It's just a day where everyone suddenly becomes lovey dovey and it gets too commercialised. Still, that doesn't mean that it's an excuse for guys not giving the girls a stalk of flower. If you really think it's too expensive, you can opt for the cheapest flower, chrysanthemum. They are always the cheapest this season. Or better still, go to any overhead bridge, and pick up a few Bongivelas. Alright.. Joking only.

Last Sat, I went with the Lady to watch Sally Yeh's concert. Well, I didn't regret having to pay the money. The show was a blast. Good old classics, be it mandarin or English. I even managed to spot a friend working part time as an usurer there. He was none other than shabbiness and khaki "Teddy bear" for sociology class. Anyway, I might be considering to go for the upcoming concert by The Platters. Classics galore! Ok.. It's for senior citizens only. Shit, Im getting old.

Was viewing through some pictures, i thought this picture was lovely.
